Schoolwork while playing eq
 

Do any of you do homework/studying while playing? How has it helped or hindered?

Dont see how playing EQ would help with studying unless it's for a creative writing class. Other than that... I'm pretty sure youre going to be more hindered while playing. I was only in my tweens when I played live so I remember homework not being intense and I was the type of student who would try to complete homework in a study hall, then on my hour and a half bus ride, then either try to finish asap when I got home or wait till the last minute of the day to finish. I couldnt imagine being in a group and looking down every other min and trying to play well enough for people not to notice your semi afk all the time. But if your a wizard then maybe you can play and study at the same time since they are always 75% of the time afk.

it helped me, I dont think i would of graduated highschool without eq actually. Its the first thing that got me to sit at a desk for more than 2 hours at a time. I was an add kid for sure. So when I was in highschool I would play my druid, kill shit med, work on HW or read/study while I med. rinse repeat graduate.

did the same in college, worked great for me. obviously only works with some classes like necro mage or druid and you cant group while doing schoolwork.

EQ camps are great for studying. Camp that rare spawn / 20 minute repop / whatever, study in between pops.

I can't even tell you how many hours I've spent studying while camping the AC in upper guk. Spawn is like 22 mins or something, they go down fairly fast = 22 mins of study, 1-4 mins of fighting.
