Item counts
 

It would be interesting to know how many of certain items are in game...is this info something that could ever be made public? Or should it? I just think it would be cool to know how many fungi tunics are out there. Is it more than 2000? How many BCGs have dropped?

Drop counts can be seen in the DB by those with access. Sometimes Sirken/Nilbog (I believe) has posted some of this data to show that quest mobs or mobs in general are indeed dropping items that people think are missing or broken. Of course they don't normally disclose this info nor would I expect them too in the future.

One thing to think of is that item count isn't really that important, what is more important is item count on active players. Items that dropped years ago and sitting on in-active char for a year or more essentially don't exist in the world unless that player comes back.:D
