were they attainable by all races with the correct faction when kunark released or was it patched in later ?

Didn't iksar warriors get some halberd type weapon quest too?

Those 3 items were immense. There was also the monk bracer (used in whistling fist quest)

fun stuff :D And i do recall any race getting these items if they built up the faction.

Greenmist, had Shissar Bane before shissar even existed in game.

Cabilis faction was a long and arduous task fix.

Originally, there wasnt a way to quest for the noob item, if you did not have it.

You had to create an iksar character, and multi quest the first item, in order for non iksars and/or iksars without their starter wep.

The penance quest was added about a month or so later (Allak added it May 25) , to allow you to regain your starter wep, to do the quests. Penance quest was doable by other races, if faction work was done.

As far as the necro skullcap, the only one that could be described as epic is the 9th one and that was patched in much later on (Luclin or PoP maybe?...edit, I suppose I could be mistaken and it just wasnt solved until much later). The 9th one could be worn by any necro race but all of the others were iksar only. Also, when you received the 9th cap, you also got to keep the 8th cap which is tradeable. So you could give/sell it to other people to skip the first 8 quests if they had the right faction, or do the 9th quest over yourself as an MQ and let the person loot the remains from the child of charisis (the last fight in OT) and just do that one last turn in for the cap if they had the faction for the last turn in.

it was called 'Pride of the Legion'. an incredible item, really. stuns creatures up to lvl 61 =P

Every Class had their own quest line but originally (iirc) the end result of each line was Iksar only (as were all items throughout the quest lines) but later patched for all races... I do believe that not all end results of the quests were complete in Kunark and some may have not been completely finished until later expansions. . . Even though they were not all completed during Kunark era, I really do hope that all the end result items are in P99... here's to hoping lol...

The original sets of quests were in during kunark, but either the last few quests in the line were not in or broken until a long time after. I want to say post velious but I'm not positive.
