Hello!

Just discovered the whole "EQ EMU" thing and decided to give it a shot. I downloaded Titatnium edition and will install/set to play on PJ1999 later tonight. I played on Cazic Thule as a Paladin. I never made it too high because I was always more interested in seeing the world and learning all the racial languages to be bothered to level. I also played on the RP server as a Ranger, then re-roll to Paladin.

I look forward to playing here with everyone and getting to know some of you.

Hello there and welcome!

Welcome to the server! Don't be discouraged when you die about a dozen times between levels 1-5. It gets easier from there! (Then harder kind of.)

I started play about 2 months before Shadows of Luclin came out. I remember how excruciatingly hard it was at first. I honestly am just super excited for the massive wave of nostalgia headed my way either tonight or tomorrow when I finally get a chance to get it set up and log in. Do most people hang around one certain area? Will it be difficult to find groups and how many active guilds are there? Or is the server in one big one? That would be cool :)

The nostalgia is half the fun. Even falling through the big hole in the middle of Black Burrow, being killed by the fish, and not having a clue how to, or where to find my corps THEN loosing a level trying to get to it, was almost fun. The noob experience all over again.

The East Commons tunnel is the hub for buying, selling and trading. As a low level shammy I can say that Ive not had much a problem finding groups in The Commons, Ro or Oasis. Lower Guk looks pretty populated too. Other then that, Ive not played long enough to know.

Awesome thanks for the response! I'll look forward to seeing you in game. I'm still undecided on what to play as first =D

You wouldn't happen to be the person I recommended while I was at work are you? :)

Orov 09-21-2010 08:44 PM

Don't think so. I stumbled on this kind of on my own.

I do seem to be having trouble running the emulator rather than EQlive. I've done everything exactly as it is listed on the EQEmu website and the Project 1999 website and it is still not working.

Nevermind I'm an idiot. I figured it out =D
