Would a <Nudists> guild work?

#1 rule of Club Nude: NO wearable slots are allowed to be equipped at ANY TIME with the exception of ears, neck, fingers, wrists, and feet.

In other words, you aren't allowed to equip any of the following slots: head, face, shoulders, chest, arms, hands, back, waist, or legs

Would a guild that stuck to this rule be able to actually survive higher level combat and level all classes all the way to 60?

What tactics and strategies would have to change with this handicap? Would race / class distribution be skewed by this condition? Would any classes be mostly unaffected?

Has this been attempted before?

6 mages, done. 5 mages and a shaman.

Essentially, 1) pets and 2) slow.

monk, monk, mage, enc, cleric, shaman - cake

You'd get a guild full of casters and monks. I'm not sure you'd ever go raiding, since you would be missing out on a lot of stat-gear, but the only classes seriously hampered by nudity would be the tank-classes.

Those early levels might be tough on a few people, having no armour when the mob closes into melee and longer downtimes between combat while people heal, but a good group should at least give you someone to talk to while you wait.

Anyone saying anything remotely melee are so misinformed that they are the reasons why we have debate about the legitimacy of free speech.

Pets. The answer is Pets. Pets pets pets pets and slow.

You'd need a bard in there too to make all the unarmed fist attacks magical.

You could "cheat" and allow people to wear items that have no graphic, i.e. may as well be nude. Azure sleeves for example, decent AC but has no graphic. A number of helms fit this criteria as well.

i like that you allowed foot wear. tells me youre a real classy guy ;)
