The A-Team

The goal of The A-Team is to relive the classic EverQuest experience of raiding and dungeon crawling while chatting with friends . . . without all the bullshit of poopsocking, jav spamming, facerolling zerg raids, and mandatory batphones dragging us away from real life at uncomfortable times. You can think of us either as a Class R guild that emphasizes coordination to make up for our low numbers or a Class C guild without the socks and PD crowns. We find that playing without the zerg not only means we get more pixels per person, but also makes victory that much sweeter because everyone knows they are a contributor and not a coat tail rider.

History
The A-Team was formed in 2012, before the R/C system. Rather than watch linoleum peel for 96 hours tracking each raid target, we focused on farming dungeons in small groups and buying the items we wanted. We created the Solo Artist Challenge for other players who wanted to play the game we did, and carried that attitude over to the Plane of Sky - our 7 man kill of the Spiroc Lord is still a server record. We were a founding member of the R rotation, and aside from our welfare pixels we also emphasize good performance on rumbles. A few of our more fun adventures in Norrath:
Recruiting Requirements
Now that winter is coming, we are preparing ourselves for new adventures in the frosty realm of Velious. Currently we are averaging about 25 players on most of our raids; we would like to hit more like 35 for Velious. What we expect out of you, the prospective recruit:
  • Skills: goes without saying. We expect you to be a good small group player, know your role on raids, learn the encounters, try new things, and sometimes organize your team too!
  • Decent playtime. We aren’t attendance nazis, but you can’t win if you don’t show up. And unfortunately, there is a certain amount of tracking and batphoning that is just unavoidable.
  • Gear/Levels: Hit L60 and acquire a long but not all that expensive required items list
  • Timezone: currently we are a US time guild, although we may start to venture across the pond.
  • Relax!
Our current class/level requirements:
  • L55+: Bard, Magician, Rogue, Warrior, Wizard
  • L58+: Druid, Cleric, Enchanter, Monk, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Shadowknight, Shaman
If this sounds like your cup of tea, contact a recruiting officer to get started. If they are hiding on one of their many alts, ask a random player if one is on!

Leadership
  • Recruitment: Petros, Koraf, Xoquil
  • Guild Relations: Zanderr, Briscoe
  • Raid Leaders: Jettle, Bobbarker, Raev, Quickfist
  • All around: Gadwin
  • Guild Saint: Coeur

The A-Team, a guild so good that we manage to make druids look like badasses:

[Wed Nov 12 23:27:00 2014] Trakanon was hit by non-melee for 821 points of damage.
[Wed Nov 12 23:27:00 2014] Trakanon's skin ignites as wildfire courses over them.
[Wed Nov 12 23:27:00 2014] You have slain Trakanon!

A-Team confirmed good people

Do you like to do drugs? Do you like to make or listen to jokes? Are you good and do you want to be better at EverQuest? Do you have an reflexive instinct to Cancel Magic the enchanter's pet, "just to see if they can handle it?" Do you habitually accidentally loot your key bag in Sky? Do you want to meet a group of like-minded individuals who have solemnly sworn against zerging and general bullshittery?

Join the A-Team.

I've always been curious as to why raev abandoned his roots, eventually you guys had to have known he could handle it

I can confirm Coeur is a saint of the highest order.

Today we decided we were still in need of some more clerics, so Saint Coeur spent time building a cleric out of warrior Rinna Lightshadow. Marky Mark showed up too to provide some grooves while we geared out our new cleric.

We can't guarantee Rinna won't kill all the evil races in our guild and occasionally train the tunnel, but we're pretty pleased with her progress.

If you are a cleric interested in joining the A-Team with our newest applicant Rinna, please inquire with an officer.
