what are the costs for going back on your word

if i say im gonna do something (let's say lose 3 pounds), and not follow through with it in the future. what does that say about me and who I am.

let's ante up. If I say that i'm going to give to charity this amount and even tell them I willl but back out on it. What does it say about me and who I am.

Does the first statement have the same effect as the 2nd one?

What's your opinion on saying something and then backing out on it. And have you ever done it before?

Do you value your words, or do you throw them away? I'm asking you, as the reader.

Some have said that what we do in life echoes in eternity.

Google is your friend.

I'm not a philosopher. Just sharing some positive flow with a stranger, troll or not

No choice you make can ever be undone or taken back. For all eternity, it will be what you chose at that point in time.

If you ever say you are going to do something out loud, and then you don't do it, no matter what the reason is, you are a horrible person. Your body starts to realize that you are a horrible person after a certain point and then it turns on you and you end up having a massive stroke at a young age and your wife and kids are left homeless and alone because you kept saying that you were going to put some money into that 401k account and you kept saying that you were going to get that life insurance policy and you kept saying that you were going to get your will finalized. But you never did!!! And that's why your dead now!!! MAYBE YOU SHOULD HAVE KEPT YOUR WORD MAURICE!!!!

Well done. Here are the test results: You are a horrible person. I'm serious, that's what it says: "A horrible person." We weren't even testing for that. Don't let that horrible-person thing discourage you. It's just a data point. If it makes you feel any better, science has now validated your birth mother's decision to abandon you on a doorstep.

Sure. So has everybody else I've ever known.

Words are words, and actions are actions.
