Power shorting out through HDMI?
 

Has anyone heard of or had this happen before?

I just had Charter over to install television service and when the tech went to plug the DVR box into my T.V. through HDMI, it blew a fuse in the house. Got the power back on and now the T.V. is fried. I swap peripherals on said television on a daily basis and have never had that happen. Checked the physical HDMI ports on the T.V. and they aren't damaged in any way either.

Karma's a bitch. Respect the soup.
