items stacked in forge cannot be split
 

Weird bug. If I have a stack of ore in my bag, i can control-click and select just one. In a forge today, I cannot do that - I grab the entire stack. If I move it back to my inventory, I can again select a single unit.

From memory, that's actually classic behaviour. In fact, I'm pretty sure that I recall having that issue well into later expansions too.

Fun fact.

If you put a stack of combines (so let's say a stack of water flasks and stack of snake scales in brewing barrel) and hit combine, it would successfully combine and yield a single bog juice.

Many a Sadface were had when people did this on live with important stuff.
