Error 1017
 

Hey guys,

Literally, nothing has changed in the last week with my computers ( I play on a laptop when im not at my apartment, and a desktop when I am ). Since TONIGHT (I played earlier today) I have been getting error 1017 on both of them. Everything has been static with these computers in the last 7 hours since I played, the only thing that changed is the ISP...can this be the cause of the issue?

Anyone have any ideas on how I can play?

edit: This is ONLY with project 1999 pvp red server. Every other server works just fine.

its ridiculous how something can happen after nothing has changed. Whats even more ridiculous is that it is only the red server that doesnt work.

1017 errors are network-related. Not necessarily yours or P99s, but somewhere between.

The problem has been found..or the solution rather.

I connected to a VPN through Avast, and was able to connect to the server. Anyone have any idea why red is the only server that I need a VPN to connect to?
