I'm heading to Red. I've decided to try SK and have like 0 EQ PvP experience. Would I fare better with delicious regen or Ogre stun/stats?

I tried a little Wizard but casting nukes in a sheet just isn't my bailiwick. I need more than a dagger of the mind.

I always loved Iksar and definitely want to do the Greenmist quest in Velious.

Truth be told, most people min/max here and Iksar are one of the weaker races right now.

Troll and Ogre are on par in regards to most stats and their racials counter balance each other. Regen is better 1v1 against pure melee like rogues and monks, whereas stun immunity is good against warriors and other hybrids, since it will let you channel most spells against bash and kick stun.

Playing a non-slam race will also penalise you when going into Velious and using items like Tantor's tusk, since you will need to swap in an epic to bash casters in between swings.

Thanks for the tips! I love Iksar as well, but I was playing a nec on blue awhile and don't think I can take any field of bone right now.

Erudite Sk/Pal duo needs to wreck this server.

Sk is not a beginner class, but if you must just choose ogre.

Just a heads up any race shadow knight can accomplish the same PvE goals in the end game (tanked druushk with 20 people a an example) and as far as pvp is concerned you can find both my dark elf rogue and iksar shadow knight at the top of the leader board, from my experience I would say

Salem speaks truth, you will find my Shadowknight is also an Iksar with a better kill/death ratio, while avoiding killing players in rags.

It is a handicap, but you can work around it. Have main tanked Faydedar as an iksar with 6 and Dojorn with 12.
