Cyrla Shadowstepper?

This may not be a bug report but there's not a good forum to discuss weird stuff besides this.

I was running through the same path that I've ran through thousands of times in Highpass and as I turned a corner in the tunnel just before Highkeep I died instantly:

Cyrla Shadowstepper pierces you for 350
Cyrla Shadowstepper pierces you for 350
Cyrla Shadowstepper backstabs you for 1013

There's no information on this NPC in the wiki. I found some info here.

The location listed there isn't where she is on P99 currently, so wrong spawn point? (again, this is directly in the path from Kithicor to Highkeep, no way is a level 61 rogue supposed to be spawning here)

Since I've never seen her standing around that tunnel before, I don't even understand why she's there. Furthermore, she hits for more than double here than Tessmage indicates, and that site also lists her dropping a Velious dagger so is she even supposed to be in the game? Kunark mob dropping Velious weapons?

Yeah my jimmies might be slightly rustled.

have seen mobs in this zone not path back correctly before

most likely pulled from spawn point and stuck there

no idea if shes actually supposed to be in game

Found her mentioned in a high elf Guise walkthrough on Allakhazam in 2003.

As to why she isn't in her normal spot near Anson, it's because if you aggro those rogues while doing the Rogue epic and train them out, they don't know how to path back sometimes and just stand where they lost aggro.

This mob is linked to the stanos encounter. If stanos is agroed there is a list of NPCs that will path to wherever he is and then stay where the encounter was ended.

The only way to send the NPCs back to their normal areas is to walk up to stanos and take a death. This is not a bug, but annoying anyways

Kinda sounds like a bug. Did it really work that way on live? You can spawn an instant death squad anywhere in Highpass and have it sit there forever?

Could a monk just throw something at Stanos and FD?

Yeah, this really doesn't seem like it's working as intended and it definitely causes zone disruption. Would be nice to hear from a GM on this.

Fixed, pending update

Rewrote Stanos engagement script. This should stop npcs not properly resetting.
