Can people seriously buy a toon for plat then get it renamed?
 

Just curious if this is true, I was told that first name changes are happening via the petition forum.

I think the devs need to take a good hard look at the EC forum. Is this seriously your vision for the servers future?

Yes. And I don't see why it has to be "prevent anonymity and aesthetic changes or allow both."

Should just put a separate sub-forum, name changes, with locked threads: X's name was changed to Y.

Would take like 15 seconds a name change to type that, or it could probably be set up to be automated.

Well, personally - I don't see an issue with selling accounts for plat, unless the main issue is people buying classes that they dont know how to play.

the point is that people who make a bad name for themselves can sell their account (and the person who buys it can change their name so nobody associates the negative image with the new player) and then make a new character with all the plat. Typically classic players don't like this because they think people should be associated with their character.....and that characters shouldn't just float around, traded, etc, like they don't mean anything. That isn't classic.....in classic most people had 1 account and 1 character that they'd play a whole lot and everybody knew them as.

In classic accounts got ebayed. Names also got changed. Trading plat for a pre-leveled character is far less evil than that in my opinion. I'd rather see that than advertisements for p-lvling services. (Not that I have anything wrong with that, I just prefer to see it on the downlow.)

If someone wants to spend plat for levels, then they're going to spend plat for levels one way or another.

I agree on a name change thread or something even though it seems a bit over bearing. I doubt it would cause any harm.

If someone a fef for 50 levels and wants a new start; they could change their name too..

Def dont like the combination of the two... thought P1999 had a bit more backbone than to allow this to happen.

I thought part of the fun was actually playing the game. Maybe I'm crazy.

i think GMs should charge 50k plat per name change. =D will help keep the coin down.

Well, I really don't see this affecting any gameplay. The only place I see any offers for this, besides the forums, is EC - those are few and far between as it is.
