Freezing When Loading Character Selection
 

I reinstalled windows 8 and upgarded to 8.1. I copied over my Everquest folder. I get to server selection OK but after clicking on Project 1999 server the window freezes at 'loading character equipment files' and windows gives a 'ding' - but no error message. Tried switching off antivirus and firewall but no effect. Any ideas?

First off, go to your EQclient.ini and try windowedmode=true with a safe resolution. Does this work? I'm assuming you installed your video card drivers.

Also try a new shortcut.
Right click eqgame.exe, create shortcut, then add patchme in the target box, or edit the launch titanium.cmd and remove the "start"
