Best Anti-Aliasing settings?

Any way to set high levels of anti aliasing and not make all your text incredibly blurry? I run an ATI card with the 10.8 drivers, and I can really only use AA at 2x in "box" mode. I also run it using super-sample, not multi-sample. Some other textures look fairly blurry, but otherwise the character models look spectacular at 8xAA.

On a side note, I run 16x Anistropic Filtering without any issues.

Any help would be much appreciated, thank you.

If you are using a fairly high desktop resolution, then you don't need more than 2x AA with EQ.

This is what ive found, at 1680x1050 I can no longer tell the difference between 2x and 16x in this game because, well, its freaking EQ and nothing looks clean anyways.

Also, ive noticed SSAA like you mentioned can make certain textures a little blurry but im not sure why, so ive stuck to MSAA. Again, in this game its not any kind of real difference...

I actually found a good balance at 4x AA Adaptive Multisample, in Box Mode. Contrary to resolution thing, I actually do see a slight difference.

Also, turning AA and AF up has the artificial effect of having my graphics card stop throttling down due to "lack of load" which is another problem entirely. :-P

Thanks for the help though. Now if only shadows didn't suck really bad...
