Listening to Derubael on Sirken's Cast
 

I only have a vague understanding of the endgame politics on this server. But it freaks me out to hear Derubael expressing weariness with Red ('troll after troll after troll').

My cousin, brother and I got chased out of Unrest by haterslay and the like, and are now in [unnamed zone] having an absolute blast on our own. I haven't met too many people on the server, but most of them have been great.

All I want is to be left alone to experience the aspects of EQ that eluded me as a dumb teenager back in the day, and to have pvp as a constant threat/opportunity to make things interesting. If a multi guild culture emerges and we get amazing three-way battles, so be it. But the server is worth something on its own merits, even how it is now. I think there are a lot of less vocal people who agree with me. It'd be a shame for it to disappear.

Anyway, the server is worth a damn, don't blow it up, etc.

yeah, it's amazing that he and others do this shit for free.

I think p99 red is the best thing to happen to mmo's since EQ. Sucks to see the same loud idiots making noise and complaining all the time.

Players/GM's should remember just because there is a few loud toxic people on boards and ingame, does not mean that is a good representation of the whole community.

I say give it a month or two and I bet server is a different place.

Server isn't going anywhere and neither am I. I didn't mean to freak anyone out.

I think that's the first time I've really expressed my frustration publicly, and I should have kept it to myself. The majority of the time the Red community is great - but there are times when it really tests my (and my colleagues) patience.

Still not going anywhere and neither is the box. And the large majority of players here are great. Don't take my comments on last nights stream to be anything but me venting frustration to friends (monday night stream is, at it's core, about hanging with our pals from the community - both in the call and in the stream chat)

you calmly asked me to stop what i was doing and cited the rule changes, suggesting that were i to do it again i could suffer penalties. was very professional in comparison to many other GMs/CSR i have had to deal with in the past, including other games.
