Will this work with Vista?
I have had my computer for about 3 years and have Vista. My computer will run anything out there with ease but i can not find it this is compatable with Vista. Please say it is as there is no game that can feel the void left by EQ!!!

You should be fine. :) I ran Emu on Vista for a while before I finally got 7. You may have to run it as an admin though.
|
Yeah ive been solely on vista since i joined emu.
you dont need to run on admin, just make sure if you do that you stick to running on admin. running normal/admin will save different settings, so if you do one then the other youll find all your settings changed in game. |
Run it as an administrator, and don't install it to Program Files if you value your sanity.

i'm running it on windows 7
it works fine after a fresh reboot, but after a period of time (random length) the avatar stopped moving when running and fighting and floats through the world after another period of time (usually shorter in length, usually less than 30 mins) the game starts 'speeding up' the client seems to be running to fast for the server. movement gets jumpy (run forward warp back rince repeat). usually when this happens it normally requires a reboot to fix. exiting game and restarting doesn't help is there a way to prevent this? i run in admin mode and have tried with compatability mode off, and with it on xp sp2 compatability (seems more reliable with compatibility mode on) |
nm reading another thread has given me some things to try... like wineq2 or tak manager trick to limit to 1 processor

I'm running on Vista (64 bit) and it's absolutely fine!
|
ok my issues were resolved by using wineq2
tried the batch file afinity method but that didn't work |
