I'm on as Saboteur DE female rogue of Bristlebane and Sepulteur Human cleric of Innoruuk. I'm all tingly but only had a hour or so to dabble around

First impressions:
Character naming took awhile to get one I liked .. besides Saboteur. Wanted Fauxpas, Faux .. and tried a few other common names. It's ok I'm set.
Oh the surprise to not have bloodgating. I quickly did a /loc macro but when I first did my cleric, the corpse rotted in less than 5 mins it seemed (bug?). I used /corpse and no corpses in zone. No biggie, I rerolled the lvl 1.
Why so many corpses in FP? What are the rot timeouts on this server?
I didn't try but why was Vah Shir on the char gen list? Can you do one?

Gotta get consistent full screen going. I'll follow the suggestions next time I'm on.

Needs:
I really want my Innoruuk cleric based in Qeynos for a while (lvl 1-10ish). I'm guessing I need to pay for a port, escort (or SOW) and bind. Hoofing it at lvl 2 is not option . What's the going market price for such a request?
I'll run out to the EC tunnel and see what I can do, my rogue has accumulated a little wealth to foot the bill.




I had already quit EQMac but was sad to see the plug pulled (in the likely case I returned) so I'm ready to return!

Still haven't got anything setup up but here's a short on my history and hopes.

Main was Saboteur a DE female rogue but had many alts at 65, Necro, Bard, Monk.
I was on the PC side before starting in late '99 primarily as a rogue. Kalelini Highkilt on Tunare (COD) I think and I think that was just months before the Kunark release.

I rarely boxed, sucked at it and glad to see it's officially not allowed. I like to focus in character I guess.

My playtime will be much more limited but I have plans for a Cleric main; a Wizard and of course Rogue alt (I like tedious pain and suffering). I'm going to try to stay away from filling up my character slots and focus ; ).

I hope to start dabbling around in week or so.

Did you manage to get Saboteur as name? This server is so old it's incredibly tedious to name a char, so I'm happy for if you did! Awesome name.

EC is the trade hub of the server, so people selling sacrifices for essence emeralds might explain the corpses in FP you mentioned. Corpse timers SHOULD be 1 week. If your corpse happens to rot, our amazing CSR team will recover it for you if you /petition it. Only do that if you really need your gear back b/c they are super busy volunteers.

No cats on the moon. We're locked in Kunark still and there's no plans to continue past Velious. Velious is being released soon (tm), meaning no one has any clue on release date...

As far as getting a port, you really won't have the funds to make a decent donation for a port but don't let that stop you. Just politely ask a porter in WC if they would mind giving a new player a lift to Qeynos. There's no Surefall Glade port in game yet so you're going to be porting to NK and running NK > WK > QH > Qeynos. Get a sow and cross your fingers there's a binding class in the area. Bit far of a run to ask someone to go with you for a bind.

And for Fullscreen.. I just learned to live with a big window so someone else would have to help you with that. I prefer being able to tab to ventrillo / browser anyway.

Rogues are a great choice here, and I like you for going with DE. Lil harder to gear, but they'll look so nice with Velious armor. Welcome and GL. Feel free to ask me anything about rogues on P99.

Important to note that you will be KOS to the NK druid portal. Most druid rings are fairly safe, but there's druid faction mobs at the WC, NK, and EK rings, NK being the worst with a lv 60+ druid nearby. Ask for an invis before you get ported.

Thanks!, yeah I posted here as Saboteur and then worried someone would squat the name before I got setup.

I figured as much for a port in EC. A 'nice' Ogre Dugger* gave my rogue a little starting coin (10pp) if I need to pay for port and SOW. Will be sure to have my DA mem'd for that run. Swim the river at the bridge and skirt the coast.
