Pet damage text range
 

I have recently came back to the game, and noticed the range at which you can see your pet damage has been greatly reduced. Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended, but do not remember this being the case from classic.

Now you mention it, I remember running for my life in Lesser Faydark on my mage back in the day... still seeing my pet bravely dps'ing from a hell of a long way away.

Problem is to fix it (assuming you're right and my memory isn't playing tricks), nilbog needs evidence of its range somehow :/

Was there evidence that the range was shorter in order to change it to where we are currently? I remember kiting the lower level clops in EK on my first necro ever back on live... the one who would come bounding out near the bottom of the ramp up to Highpass. I never not saw my pet damage messages.

Tis quite annoying/distracting the way it is right now.

I have noticed the range for spell messages was reduced too. I had an enchanter ask me to malo a pet and he had to ask me if I did it because he didn't see the spell message on his screen.

Can this get moved to the bug forum? Not sure why i posted here.
