mage pets quad now with no weapons
 

a mage in my group was telling me his pet quads wit no weapons. we are 53+ btw...i didnt believe him but i ran the logs and sure enough it was true. and now i notice it with my pet too...

PRAS the devs for fixing this. no more summoning endless shitty weapons

It has been this way for some time now... I haven't played in at least a month or so and I don't remember having to give my pets weapons to quad.

EDIT: I am also 53+

I believe starting on your high range lvl 39 pets they auto dual wield. Its necro pets that don't dw naturally w/o weapons.

Don't worry bros, still broken on Red.

Red is a custom server.

I suggest rolling on P99 if you are looking for classic EQ.

Yea they auto dual wield at higher levels, one way to keep track of this is to give your pet different types of weapons, such as a Piercing in one hand and Slash/Blunt in the other.
