Mistmoore Castle: Deathly Ushers not dropping Black Silk Gloves?
 

Every resource at my disposal suggests that Deathly Ushers are the most reliable source for Black Silk Gloves, one of three components required for the Bard's Lambent Gauntlets quest.

My friend Haurgus and I have lived in this place for the last few days and, after killing hundreds of Ushers, have not seen the Black Silk Gloves drop. We've also killed several Will Sappers and Glyphed Aegides, which are also purported to drop these gloves.

I'm not usually one to petition for this kind of issue (bad luck being what it is in EQ), but I've finally reached the point of suspicion.

Was in Mistmoore all last weekend, two pairs dropped for our group out in the garden/Dhamp area. Probably rotted, we didn't have anyone with bard alts that needed them.

Thanks for the tip, Yendor. I even waved hello at your corpse yesterday when I was running into the castle. ;)

A little update on this topic:

Uthgaard looked into the drop tables for me and confirmed that there is indeed an issue with the Black Silk Gloves. He said that he would research the correct drop tables and proceed with a fix soon.

Please don't confirm things for me before I have a chance to finish looking at the data.

That said. Out of 5 full repops, none had black silk gloves. Each zero is a mob that didn't have black silk gloves.... yes I make tallies in binary.

I also ran around the entire zone individually checking every mob in the zone each repop. I know they were dropping not long ago. Not sure where they went.
