Weapon or armor

Hey Monks,
Started a monk (main on live) trying to figure out whether to save for gear or a weapon first. Lvl12 currently with just some cloth and using fists as I only have about 40p. Recommendations on which to prioritize? Thanks

Save up for http://wiki.project1999.com/Wu's_Quivering_Staff and cruise up through level 50. Make some cured silk and you are set for a while.

Yea this is a really good weapon for cheap, its what I used while leveling. After that I would do whatever you can to save up for fbss or some other equivalent haste item.
