Bard Kiting Velious Style
 

Has anyone tried kiting on the beta or know of any areas to start kiting?

If so what levels/mobs/spots are good, if any.

Best way is to copy your bard across and give it a try, this is why beta is so empty sadly :(

Was planning on this, but my experience in Velious is really limited. Was hoping someone could give me a few zone names atleast.

30s - Eastern Wastes

Tons of animals you can kite. Ignore snow griffins cause casters... But on this server they will be poopsocked for shawls.

20-30 - Iceclad

Dervishes and cougars and dire wolves

20-30 - Great Divide

Tizmacks / Kodiaks... Giants/Wurm hit boxes are too big. Pulling the aforementioned mob types generally leads into tunnels and caves though...

40-50 - Cobalt Scar

Wyverns. Enjoy being hated by every necro, wizard and Druid kiting there though.

That's about it.

One of the biggest things will just be the variety of mobs. I aoed a bard to 65 during POP with a variety of classic/velious/luclin/pop zones. I actually never went to OT for some reason, probably because I spent way to much time there with other classes back in the day. As a 27 bard, OT is super crowded with bards kiting because all the guides here say to go there and its really easy. Its boring and there aren't a ton of other places to go. I've been doing Warsliks Woods recently just because OT is so boring. Velious makes things much more fun and the zones are perfect for bard kiting so it should spread everything out a bit.
