Rangers on RED
 

Hey! in my theory, rangers are pretty neat in pvp... They can do all sorts of stuff and SoW themselfs and track might be very useful. Was thinking of rolling one on red. And bow might be pretty nice, specially in velious pvp. Am i totally not right?
I might roll one, if its not too popular on red

thoughts? tips? Don't just say rangers suck.

They are alright. The problem with them is that they lack a good weapon/weapons. Once you get epics you jump up on the pvp scale. Sow is nice, but you can always get a sow potion or ask a friend. Track is fun, if it works, sometimes it bugs out. Bow is nice but only if you get the really good one from plane of sky, again the problem with the lack of available weapons.

Rangers are like less powerful war,monk,rogue and when you are leveling up you may just wonder why you aren't just playing one of them because they do more damage and have better weapons and have fd/mend/flying kick or backstab/hide/sneak or lots of hp/crits/crippling blow.

Also they level slower as a hybrid.

They are great for low levels. They own at pvp low levels because of snare and the ability to track noobs. After around level 20, you will see your pvp value deteriorate until you are at the very bottom of the food chain when it comes to evenly geared pvp.

Rangers pretty much sucked pvp until Luclin.

Rangers are good but if you are asking this you have about a 1% chance to start a ranger and keep it as a main. Best thing to do is level a Mage or Druid and use ranger unless you got a perm group that happens to need a ranger. Someone should make a thread which explains starting on red in detail.

trueshot damage negated by moving = 50% bow damage

Ppl said sks were terrible too now everyone has one

ranger is far and away the worst pvp class unless you can get your hands on a windstriker, of which there has been only 6 or 7 obtained in the past 2 years of kunark
