Red Pop. sucks? What about mixing?
If the devs made it possible to routinely bring blue toons over to play on red (and vice versa), wouldn't that even up the population, influence players to group, and expose blue players to pvp? I haven't touched EQ since highschool, and I'm just coming back to this; but I just watched an hour long youtube video where the devs sounded like they were completely out of ideas, and kinda pissed. Is that fix even possible? Is it even a fix?
You could still offer exp advantages to toons that stayed on one server for a certain amount of time, which would leave the max lvl toons unaffected. Blue's massive population would shift to red intermittently, but that's just more cannon fodder for pvp AMIRITE? OR OR OR make a purple server, where the populations could mix, without being able to transfer to either purist red or blue boxes. There's your teams server. |
You can trade blue for red plat (and vice versa)
There is a who-the-fuck-knows-how-high xp bonus that just pushes people to the top Why not just allow xfers/copies? :/ |
Blue server is full of harry potter map hackers and script kiddie wannabees

Or just level up the old fashioned way using the enormous xp bonus available.

It was more about raid kill fights and less about leveling up. If a camp/raid is taken on blue, they're going to come to red. If they come to red, they have to ultimately fight for raid boss. The exp bonus idea was mostly inconsequential.
