The only way to raise it is the scout beard quest, and it's anything but fast.

never heard of it.

It's a subquest in Iceclad, turn in a frost giant scout beard (lore nodrop 5% drop rate) into Ritap (gnome on a lillypad between gnome and gnoll island) for a single faction point.

I haven't seen any of the Scout Beards drop.

Capturing Gnome wenches for trade has high boosts for faction according to PirateTimes NY edition. Unfortunately Smurfs were not accepted as substitutes.
