Hsagra Wrath and Vindi
 

Hey gonna post this here as I believe something is wrong with it.

Talking about this spell Hsagra Wrath. http://wiki.project1999.com/Hsagra%27s_Wrath
It is listed as Resist Unresistable - Target Type Uber Giants. Reagent: Peridot x2
Here was the problem. It would let you cast Hsagra wrath on Vindi, but once the spell was about to hit, you would get this message You must first select a target(in my SS),
AS it ate your reagents still too.

The far right Main chat box is where I tried to capture this, sorry for the spam or not getting the you start to cast Hsagra wrath on SS.
You can see when The spell finished it says you must first select a target for this spell. Than it still eats your peridots. AN it lets you cast it in the first place which I do not think is right. (the uber spells norm cannot be casted if you do not have the right target)
Some was saying Vindi was not a uber giant? Maybe that should be changed , imo he is a uber giant.

Looks like EQEmu has had this issue for Hsagra's Wrath before.

Vindi, Velk, and Tormax should be the giants that it works on.

That guys post is exactly what is happen here. Possibly gonna be the same problem for dragon bane PF too.

Never knew what uber giants meant. I am sure this can be looked at.

I found the issue with the spell not working on right targets.

However, the message of not being the correct kind of mob seems flakey.

Anyone know what the error message should be if cast on wrong type of mob?

And should it not consume peridots, when cast on wrong mob? This is a bit trickier to fix, but would need to add something to cover this.

Nice, thanks for the work.
The error message maybe something like this spell has no effect on Target.

But it will not cast on a wrong mob normally. Like if you try to use it on a regular named giant in Kael , it does not work and will not let you cast it, and gives you a message like you have the wrong type of target.

I don't think it should consume peridots or let you cast it if the mob type is not correct.
With your fix , it may work now and not consume them on vindi or other uber giant.
It would never let you cast the spell on the wrong type of mob though , gave message.

Also whatever fix you did for the giants, will need done for the uber dragons too.

So does this work on Vindi / Tormax / Velk now?

The Hsagra wrath spell does not cast on targets that are not uber giants just checked.

Working on giant and dragon ones. Have it coded, but need to test.

I see how it works now.

The client actually does a check against the correct body type, before it allows you to even attempt casting.

I got the server side code working now, to check the right stuff. So after they patch these changes into beta, it should work.
