Depending upon what branch he's joining, the Air Force typically allows you to utilize your cell phone to call home (or to whomever) starting your 5th or 6th week and every week afterwards. You're not really suppose to get on the internet when doing so but the majority of people do if they have no one to call or end their conversations abruptly. They don't really babysit each and every individual during phone calls so it's pretty easy to do so nowadays.

Lol I remember getting my ass kicked far too much to ever use a computer in basic. Good luck finishing strong.
