Shadowbane - Yay? Nay?

The devs seem pretty on top of things (they've been at this emu constantly for a few years now I think) and they occasionally hold open beta sessions but I've never had time to join in.

So much time has passed since I've played SB that I can't even remember how it was. I remember point-and-click to move and being annoying as shit as a scout/archer type class that could snare people, but that's about it.

Only thing that worries me is the devs say they will allow multi-boxing (though limited)

Need my PvP fix man

This was one of the first MMO's with destructible environments, IIRC. I remember the guild tools being cool too.

I heard about this a long time ago, right after they got started. I figured they were years away from being anywhere close so I forgot about it. Thanks for bringing it back to my attention.

I will def be giving this a try when they get it up and running.

I seem to recall they became a F2P game some years ago. What's also interesting about this game, is that every server had it's own unique world map. If there's a decent shard for it, it wouldn't be a bad idea to try a "P99 guild" on it. Certain races also had unique abilities, kind of like in EQ, but better in a way, e.g. Centaurs ran faster than any other race, another race could fly around, some casting classes were able to levitate also.
