Targetted AE Spells

So the wizard column/fingers line are only supposed to hit 4 mobs but the OP of that thread discovered it can hit more.

I've recreated this as has he. If you have 4 mobs in range attacking you and you ae them should only hit 4 targets but it can hit you as well as the 4 mobs. I pulled 5 and it hit 6, landed on 4 mobs and the last mob and I resisted it.

some of my better screens are locked away, F VISTA SO HARD AAHHHHH, ill do some more playing around tomorrow.

When it hit you was it hitting you twice like it did for me?

no it never did in any of my testing, only landed once. yesterday I had a pull of 4 the first ae killed one then the next 2 ae's would land on or resist or anything the remaining 3 mobs but would hit me. Few steps back and it landed on all 4 of us. Haven't been able to recreate that, or been able to unlock the folder to retrieve the screens.

something is screwed...

i just pulled 4 mobs one last time before logging, cast column and it did nothing (note all mobs were in my face at melee range so there was no chance of z axis or los issues). See

I cast it again, and i got the message you regain concentration and continue casting, didnt land, cast again got same message and it didnt land, took a few steps and it landed hitting the 4 mobs and myself.

Targeted columns, rains, etc will hit an unlimited number of PCs. Only NPC hits are limited. It's working correctly.

That's what I was saying on the pvp server about aoe's should hit unlimited targets
