RV/MT <> classic live
 

Admittedly, this is pretty obscure...

On live, if you are in RV or MT and you target a guard (Deputy) and say "Nice Hat", the NPC should respond with "Thank you. It is worn with pride and is the trademark of the deputies of the Guardians of the Vale".

The 1999 server does not do this.

I know for sure the ones outside the bank do this.

Every Deputy is supposed to respond like that, or just certain ones?

OK, logged into live and EVERY deputy inside of RV said the response - NONE of the ones in MT said it. So just inside town I guess.

They are all correct now.

All of the Deputies inside Rivervale have the proper script for 'nice hat'. They have nothing for general Hail messages though. Should they?

Nope. It was sort of an easter egg. Like Lady Shae's house of waffles/pancakes script, and Aeolwind's highpass hussy :P
