Project 1999 - Odd Issue..De-Sync or something

So, hard to describe as I am not a tech savvy person, and it's a new issue for me. But occassionally, under high loads like a raid, or even normal groups, my client will just screw up. Let me describe. I'll start to cast a spell like normal, but it never finishes. My icons stay grayed out, I can no longer /camp or do /w searches, or even send tells. However, I continue to see people move/act on the screen, and they can apparently still read me in group chat if I am in one. The only fix I've had so far is to /q out and relog in, but that can be hazardous to myself and my group depending on which character I am playing. It never happened on my old laptop, only my new one. And only fairly recently, actually.

Not sure what all system info, if any, could help figure out why/how this happens, but let me know and I can find it and post it. My new laptop is an alienware, perhaps 6 months old, if that matters, and EQ runs from the onboard chip set, not the nvidia card, if that might make a difference.
