Specialization - Conjuration or Evocation and why !! GO!!

In hindsight I would have gone with Alteration from 20-40 then switched to Conjuration. The spells I used the most mana on BY FAR were my pet heals.

Yea i can see that, i don't plan on raid too much so i might go with that anyway. I've heard about 50/50 though on the conj / evoc so im not sure really, figured id get some opinions.

I used Conj due to the bolt needing a clear path to the mob. Any players in your way would eat the bolt since it acted like a projectile. The shock of steel or whatever that highest shock is was the spell used.

Now? I dunno since the bolts dont act as they used to.

I went evo originally (partially because the rain of swords line was mistakenly evo instead of conj) but I respecced to conjuration as soon as the temple of solro was released. When you're soloing as a mage most of your mana is probably going to chaining pets so it's nice to have the efficiency there, and if you end up raiding all anyone wants a mage to do is summon mod rods so you are good to go there too.

Evocation. It's by far the most-used mana sink in group and raid encounters.

I just let my specialization pick itself, and it ended up evocation.
