Having withdrawals!!
 

So , incase you haven't heard, the east coast got slammed by an ice storm and has knocked out power and internet for TONS of people. Yesterday being the first day, we went out and purchased a badass generator, so now we have power somewhat. So while we can now play video games and watch movies, we still have no internet to get online and be able to play some P99!!! Lol

What I was considering today (btw no eta on cable, power eta is Wed), is what about something like tethering. The cell signal sucks in my house right now, so I was hoping another provider or device might have a more powerful antennae. Money isn't really an issue. Just trying to make sure we are comfortable and can get work done as well as play.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Yep, but no clue when we will get internet back. Maybe it will come back with the power, but really don't know.

If you have a decent data plan on your phone you can tether it to play with.

He can tether, he just has bad cell signal. I think he is looking for something like a 3G modem/router. It is a bad plan that cannot be altered.

Yep decided to give up. Cell signal still sucks (although a bit better now). Power is back on, but still no cable. As for tethering I can't do it with my phone (iPhone 5s). We have the unlimited data plan, and to get tethering we have to sacrifice that. No way I'm getting rid of that.

So yeah. All I can do is wait and keep my fingers crossed.

JailBreak your phone and you will be able to download tethering programs from Cydia. I bought one for $19 on my iPhone 4 and it works like a charm.
