I don't think many of them would last. People get offended just from a red post in the blue forums. 1 pvp death and many would log out, sadly.

Wish I could betabeta to red! Honest to God I was hooked, but velious beta with blue Tecmos > grinding xp on red with no/little bonus. I'd box but I died on red (to mobs :() within 10 min of trying that!

I don't think Blue wants to transfer here, at least not in any significant number of players. Sort of the same reason people aren't emigrating en masse from the US to Mexico. We need to clean things up on Red first and make it appealing. Gotta have more than just the offer of dirty water/whistles if you want to get people interested.

As a blue convert I would definitely transfer a leveled and geared blue toon to red in a heartbeat. In fact, I think the idea of the /beta copy thing for a short time is an awesome idea - give some people a chance to get their feet wet with pvp without the investment of leveling a toon 1-50+.

Interesting thing is that there are two different ideas of what causes server health on red. Azrael feels that the toppling of Nihilum is good and that the ceasefire between RD/ Nihilum is antithetical to what promotes a healthy server. Others feel that griefing newbs or being shitty, childish, and uninviting to new players in general is the largest problem.

Unfortunately those two things collide - as most all noobs are in Red Dawn, and since Azrael feels those noobs deserve any and all punitive efforts they're capable of dishing out to them because of the current ceasefire, players continue quitting in an endless cycle/ downward spiral of shit.

in theory everyone agrees that being shitty to noobs is not conducive to server health, but until guilds are no longer patently aggressive toward new players (ignorant of Red99 politics) simply because of their guild tag, then basically the server will stay as it is and always has been. unfortunately azrael/ nihilum have recently found that they have no use for new players until RD has geared/ leveled them, so there's no sense in changing their attitude toward different people coming to the server. Status quo, all the way. no one seems to realize that sick irony.
