Installing Titanium Problems

Hi,

I trying to install my Titanium Edition, but twice it's bombed out. Once on disk 4 and the second time on the final part of disk 5. The error statment says
File D data6cab
Error: "data error (cycle redundancy check)

Anybody have an ideas?

I'm going to attempt again here in a bit.

Thanks

Scott

I thought it only had 3 disks? Curious.

Are we talking physical CDs here? I'd try a different source, could be something wrong with the download.

Have you got any friends that play on the server? A copy onto USB stick of their EQ folder might be a good shortcut.

Yes, we're talking 5 physical CDs.

I picked them up on Ebay in the original packaging.

I used my real physical CD's that are scratched up from back in the day. No problems at all.

What operating system you running? Windows 7 here, I maybe could see 8 not playing with them well? Not sure though...

I've had some luck making image files of CDs that were not reading properly, you can always try to do that with the disc giving you problems and see if it helps. Of course you can always do some interwebz searching and find another copy.

you have the discs. download a backup. no sense in having to purchase it twice when you already own it.

Copy the disks to the desktop and try that way.
