If you liked Diablo 2 but thought Diablo 3 was shit, this is the game for you imo.

The game uses a type of Materia system like ff7 for spells and skills with d2's room structure and dungeon exploration with town portals and waypoints, etc.

i have a pretty high level freezing pulse shadow havent played in a while

I'm a lite sorc, aoe, getting weaker as I level it seems.. but I'm gathering tons of yellows for alts so its all good. Just hit a3, prolly roll a shadow or ranger next.

I have that super fast ranger bow, quill rain of it linked with explosive arrows and a burning gem i thing, its a real good fast way to level a ranger, i have like 6 70+ characters or so with a bank full of shit, if you need any gems let me know, or items for that matter

I'm gunna shed some light on this with my experience with PoE.

the best thing for PoE is to actually look at and follow a build on the forum. my friend didn't do this when he first started and eventually quit because unless you know what you are doing on the skill tree you are screwed.

The most powerful builds are obviously ranged builds, like Freezing Pulse, lightning strike, etc. There *are* good melee builds but they require very high end weapons, and most likely at LEAST a 5-link chest piece. The most popular melee build right now is a the Duelist *blender* build.

There is also Energy Shield builds which you basically use ES with Chaos Innoculation ( translates all current health to ES ) but these builds are basically for players with a ton of money because finding high ES gear is nearly impossible so i'd stay away from these .

You might think to yourself 'shit ill be fine' without doing any research and it may seem like you are til you get 70+ and start doing maps, and you basically get destroyed each map you try


PoE is an AMAZING game, i would of kept playing it but my friend quit and i just kinda got out of the loop, its gotten a lot better since i last played.
The trouble with PoE is it's basically all based on RNG, and the RNG is awful. Once you get 70 and can start actually doing maps, and since everyone is a crafter, you can find some 5-6 socket shit and try to link it to a 5 or even 6 link but it's almsot damn near impossible to . this is PoE's fault, the idea to make eveyone a 'crafter' is a good idea, basically trying to get more sockets on armor, the right colors you need etc, but you spend so many orbs trying to do so it becomes very frustrating. thats why 6-linked socket 2h weapons and armor are so much money. you don't necessarly need them to compete, but you most likely WILL need at least a 5 link item to be decent enough to solo the easier maps.
