I agree with this. Keeping it between friends with cocktails/drinks at a happy hour type deal is your best bet. You will most likely show your best around friends and limit awkward moments.

I always waited to do a 1 on 1 date until I knew I liked her. Before that I just invited girls to things I was already doing with other friends.

If there is a distinct lack of RL friends to take her out with, bringing a laptop along and running teamspeak will work equally well.

Getting these Nihilum members to have successful dates may be the biggest challenge this server has faced but it may also be the only way to get the raid rotation put back at normal hours.
