Enchanters are double attacking
 

Edit - turns out that it was just some log/graphics bug, not an actual mechanic bug. Killing blows will often show an apparent double attack, but none seem to be happening otherwise.

On live, int caster's double attack can always "proc" once every 100 hits or so. Just very low chance. Do you see it often or it's a once a blue moon thing?

I just doubled on my 44 mage with a Torch, not even kidding

Look at the timestamps. It's happening that close together constantly as I beat down stuff in Najena because I can't kill them with DSs right now! :(

Also I'm 99% sure that I never doubled with Tecmos ever before today, even though I've spent plenty of time basking in the glory of 250-point hits from RoA.

So it's an issue with 1h weapons, apparently? Either that or something changed between my 3-minute-long hammer session this morning and now.

You sure this isn't a graphics bug? There was a bug where your killing blow would show it doubled awhile back. Even though you just hit them once.

Your logs appear to show all killing blows.

Personally saw Tecmos crush a skeleton at the WC spire double for 169 earlier today.

I just double attacked with my torch as a 55 mage a few minutes ago too. Thought it was odd. Though it was also a killing blow so maybe its a bug and not really a double attack?

Heh. Looks like that is it. I tried to find a mob where I "doubled" without killing and there weren't any!

Basically its EQ's way of saying "Holy shit why did we think Rod of Annihilation was even a remotely reasonable idea, I can't even comprehend why a caster is hitting for this much, WTF is going on".
