Do food items differ in duration? If so, they should not (iron ration === muffin)

http://www.tski.co.jp/baldio/patch/20010417a.html

This is the patch that added durations to food items.

Quote:

Food items now have a 'duration'. This means that some food items will not sustain a character as long as others, and some items will sustain your character longer than they did before.
Given the wording, it sounds like some of the lighter/cheaper food items such as snacks (muffins etc.) were nerfed to sustain for a shorter duration, while others were set to be longer.

Anyone remember the default duration for a food item? Approximately the length of a basic ration?

All food items have the same effect here, minus the stats on the some I believe.

There are already bug threads about this.

Food duration has no meaning in Classic. You're wasting money on the high-end foods/drinks.

Food consumption rate is also affected by what zone you are in. For example, Kunark makes you hungrier.

Yeah. Food here still has the labeling from this patch "This is a snack" "This is a meal"

I always buy things that are meals anyways because I want my character to be healthy.

So, if I was sad enough to min max on statless food, I should just buy the cheapest 0.1 weight food available?

Milk and Muffins I think were the cheapest food/water combo in the game.

Pandos Flintside knows what's up!
