The general rule of EQ quests is that you can hand items in one at a time or all at once. Sometimes one at a time is actually better because, if someone else accidentally completed part of the quest, you can benefit.
For instance, you need three gnoll fangs to turn them in in Halas. If you turn in all three at once, you are for sure going to use up 3 fangs. But if someone else handed in an extra fang on accident previously, and you hand them in one at a time, after turning in two fangs you'll get experience (and you can save your 3rd fang for later). This is effectively a "multi-quest", and it's how people sell no drop parts of quests (they turn in their no-drop part, and then the quest completer turns in the rest of the items).
All that being said, I always turn in everything together for important quests, just to be safe.
