Slow Motion

Hi guys,

I have an issue with my char running, jumping and turning in slow motion. it has its normal bursts where i run normal speed then it cuts itself down to slow motion again. I have make eq run on 1 cpu. which i thought thats what the problem was. it worked good for a while there. But then i just went back to its normal thing.... anyone know why this would be happening??

any input would be great...

Are you running two monitors?

Freightrain 08-02-2010 02:18 AM

No, i am running it off my laptop. Its a Hp pavilion dv7... so really it should not have any issues with the game graphics what so ever. It runs Wow and eq2 at full pace... I dont understand.

Does this only happen when you are unplugged and running off the battery?

The symptoms are that you are not running with graphics acceleration. Most laptops will drop graphics acceleration when the AC goes away in order to conserve the battery life.

Try running it in full screen at 640x480 resolution. Also running a virus search in the background can help. These are things I have to do from time to time. Sometimes just turning off one cpu works, but I usually have to do some combination of the things above.

Perhaps try playing in Compatibility mode?

R-Click the EQgame shortcut, go to "Performance" (i think), and then check to run in Compatibility mode with like Windows 98 or 95.

It worked when my characters were running fast as hell, and is worth a shot in your case.

I have this same issue, I have set my power setting to Home/Desktop then I went into my task mananger to set my cpu to 1 ( it was at 3 ). How do you do that with XP Ive seen the answer for Windows 7 but not for XP.

Edit-Ok figured out how to set my cpu to 1 from 3 now lets see if that works....

Thanks
