Raiding with multiple characters in different guilds

I don't know if this was already asked or discussed officially but I want to know what the rules are for this.

If I have 5 characters in 5 different raiding guilds, does each character have their own lockout based on the guild the character is a member of? I'm not talking about switching the characters from guild to guild to try to circumvent the rules.
