So, as one of the primary leveling methods for my shaman. I chose to go with the 6 minute bard diet. Having spent so much time away from Halas. I failed to realize that it would make banking at the bank here in Halas pretty much impossible.

As a result, I have started camping the Gargoyle Isle there in OOT.

My question is, has anyone else done this? Any idea how many points each garg kill is worth towards my bard faction? Thanks!

Get a group in MM, a couple of nights in there should cure it... or at least get it back to dubious.

Not sure if you are referring to the "Fabians Strings" quest in which you hail him and give him 2G, I tried doing this with my druid the other night<As his faction with the bards is shot also>, He would give me the 1st part of this message before I gave him the gold, but he didn't finish his schpiel once said gold had been given, so I figured the quest was broken...Was very disappointed about that. So I thought to kill Gargs in OOT as MM is perma camped.

mistmoore is hardly perma-camped. besides, you don't need kills you need to tag for faction while you are lfg.

I've done Fabian's Strings for faction. Took a while and a couple hundred plat, but it moved my faction up considerably. There may be a minimum faction needed to do the quest, though. I was doing it on an Iksar, so paradoxially it may have been easier for me than it would be for you (all I had to do was get shared wolf form).

When I did it, he would respond to my initial hail but nothing further when I gave him the gold... No faction increase/decrease message what so ever, and I would think if it did require minimum faction he shouldn't even respond to my hail?

what he meant by "tag" was all you have to do is if you are in the zone and LFG... if there is another group that is full or what not... all you have to do is take one swing at their mob and when they have killed it you will get the faction hit... of course i would ask them if its ok first... and it shouldnt be a problem! good luck bud.
