This seems to be the case at the moment.

The 2013/2014 peak of Red's server pop occurred a few months ago on the initial announcement of the closure of EQ Mac. Here the population spiked up to roughly 20% on the average day. Removal of the exp bonus saw the population decrease by a small percentage and the bitter rivalry between Azrael / Red Dawn / Nihilum which involved all players trying to level with endless pvp and griefing saw the population drop even further.

The fued saw Azrael initially griefing Red Dawn on raids and Nihilum jumping in to help in an effort to stamp Azrael into the ground due to bitter rivalry. This eventuated with some sort of friction between Red Dawn and Nihilum, whether it was due to Azrael alts in Red Dawn, or Heartbrand saying something stupid, I do not know, but lead to the eventual absorption and merging of Azrael members with Red Dawn.

Where we are at?

The GM's are desperately trying to curb the burn out's that are occurring with the new influx of players due to corpse camping and excessive griefing. New PnPs were instated to ensure everyone had a fair go, however, this was a double edged sword as it allowed the typical server trolls and 2nd best gankers to resort to cheap lawyering tactics.

I highly doubt any user account will be perma-banned over the PnPs, however I can tell the staff are indeed making examples of players, primarily those in Nihilum for any apparent breaches.

The epic group pvp fights are excellent propoganda for the server and need to be posted on blue imo to give them a sneak peak of what they are missing out on.

More importantly, the excessive trolling and shit talking needs to stop in the forums because it looks like a cesspool from the outside looking in.
