best paladin race? GO!
 

besides dwarf, rl friend going pally but doesnt wana be small.

while uncommon, the pallies i do see seem to be of every walk of life, whats your opinion? personal preferences appreciated too, just wondering because ive always been partial to hum/half elf.

From a min/max perspective dwarf is your best bet. They have by far the highest STR/STA and still a decent wisdom. They'll need 5 AGI to keep from getting AC penalty though.

Your next best bet would probably be a human. High elfs lack STR/STA and half elfs severely lack wisdom.

mm maybe that'll work, i grabbed him a silvery 2hander, as human atleast he'd get use out of the serpent sight xD

Dwarf, no contest, if all you care about is stats. None of the races offer anything like Slam or such, so stats are all that really matters, and Dwarves simply have more of the stats that matter most to Paladins. It's helpful to boost your Agility to 75 at creation if you make a Dwarf.

Since not everyone wants to be a short dwarf, other races present alternatives. Humans and Half Elves are about a tie for 'second' (the low wisdom doesn't affect them too badly), then High Elves, and Erudites are the worst choice stat-wise, but have a fair amount of race-specific stuff to boost them up some.

And if you're truly into min/maxing, you aren't rolling a paladin in the first place. :)

THIS! This is all that needs to be considered when making a pally. If you go dwarf you get to do the front flip jump. its WAY better than any measly gain you will get from +5 wis or whatever.

hum/half elf look best, im torn on which looks more badass. but figured, struggle now, improve with kunark, then be unstoppable in velious. goooo paladin trending

Paladins suck no matter what race they are. Make a cleric or make a warrior, if you want a utility character make a Shadowknight.
