Windows 7?

Maybe I am not getting this. The original Bit Torrent DL is a free version of Titanium. Thus getting us the game without the buck? Or am I wrong?

If I am not wrong, Daemon347 is not compatible with Windows 7 it seems. Therefore Windows 7 = no go for EQEMU?

I'm playing on Win 7 Professional right now.

And - if someone has used Windows 7 before. How is it done?

Razmini 07-27-2010 05:43 PM

do I need to go out and buy the CDs?

I'm using DT lite 4.35.5 (not even the most recent version) and it works just fine with Win7. Some old version of DT wasn't compatible with 7 but a working version was released back when 7 was still in beta.

Also, as a sidenote, EQ works best with 7 and other modern stuff like Multi-Core CPUs using WinEQ2.

And yes, using the torrent you get the client walking on the grey line.

Would someone mind helping me through this via phone chat or something? I have not messed with anything like this in awhile, and Im just not as savy as I once was.

NM it seems like I've got it. I'm not learning about mounting... if I need to mount them on top of one another.

for what it's worth, I unpack .iso files with Winzip, and don't need to mount another drive.

Let me attempt that, I'm running into some mounting issues (mostly cause I dont understand the process of mounting another disc and getting it to work

I have it working just fine in Windows 7, no issues. Like you, I noticed the Deamon Tools is not compatible, so I did a google search to see if there's a newer version that's more compatible. As Ardenya mentioned, Deamon Tools Lite showed up as an option and works just fine. It also includes a handy sidebar widget that makes it easy to mount and un-mount the .iso files. The .iso files are basically a virtual copy of the CD. Just mount the first one using the widget, launch the installer, then when it asks for the second disc, Alt-Tab back to your desktop, un-mount the exisiting .iso and mount the next. Alt-Tab back to your installation screen and continue the install. Just keep mounting and un-mounting the .iso (discs) it asks for until the install is finished.

Tips on the widget: It's set up kind of like an media player. If I remember right, to mount a volume press the play triangle. To un-mount a volume, press the stop square.
