Tailoring Question..

I found out that Wu's gear was removed from the server because it was not introduced until Velious.. So is Tailoring basically capped at 115 for newer players such as myself?

The only recipe left is Fleeting Quiver but it's too difficult to raise skill from those, especially from 115.

Yep, basically stuck at 115 until Velious.

Exception being if you're a Wood Elf or Halfling.

Isn't one piece of Wu's still craftable? Gauntlets, was it? I guess it has a low trivial, though, according to the wiki.

tailoring past 82 is slow past 115 unthinkable

if u are woodelf or halfing tho u can get to 228 like me =)

well that sucks. =/ I didn't think there was a restriction with crafting for anyone in EQ.

Feanol 12-05-2013 12:26 PM

It's not a class/race restriction per say....

Both Wood Elves and Halflings have cultural items that only their own can make. Same as an Erudite will not be able to raise his Blacksmithing by crafting Northman Ringmail which is specific to Barbarians. Just so happens that everyone can make metal armors to raise their trivial. Not so with Tailoring.

Fier'Dal and the Smallfolk just happened to luck out in this respect, although it's by no means easy to gather some of the special ingredients for both branches of high-end combines...

If I cannot raise tailoring beyond 115 skill because I am not a Erudite, Wood Elf or Halfling then it is a race restriction. Trying to raise tailoring skill making Fleeting Quivers from 115 skill is pretty much impossible. I'm not saying the ingredients for those cultural armors are easy to collect but it's a thousand times better than the option for any other races.

Wood elf cultural is kinda insane to skill up on. Not gonna lie. Cost me 'bout 30k for 200 combines.
