The server will die before anyone loots a fungi tunic. You'll never loot it.

Item loot isn't pro-pvp. It's pro-bluebie. You want items without risking anything. You're the bluebie. Everquest is about risk vs. reward. There's no risk involved in you and 2 other naked casters ganging up on a melee for his weapon.

Your server will be nothing but casters. It will fail. Item loot is a bad idea, please stop trying to bring it back.
