Different weather effects possible?

Is it possible to have different weather?

Must the only weather effect be sunshine or thunderstorms?

Id love for just rain on occation, without the annoying thunder that accompanies it.

Or maybe just fog?

How bout snow?

Just curious to see what peoples thoughts are on this.
